The Evidence of JESUS (B1)

Many people don't understand why we Christians have a relationship with GOD. They say it is all just in are heads and that there is no way to prove JESUS is here with us. Well JESUS is all around us. Miracles, blessings, everything is from JESUS. We can see JESUS in all HIS works and how they effect us. Many unbelievers say that things like that just happen with no proof that a Creator is responsible. They say that we have so much faith in GOD, that we say all random things are from HIM. The faith part is true. It helps us know HIM. But we all must know that there is evidence of GOD around us. Take the wind as an example. All people don't see GOD. People don't see the wind either. But we can see and feel the effects of the wind. We can see and feel the effects of GOD too, but we have to believe that whatever it is is from GOD. My point here is that if we have faith in GOD, we can realize the evidence of HIM all around us.

Closing- I hope you understood this message. It was kind of hard to put together and I did the best that I could, but if you didn't understand totally and you want further explanation, please comment. Also if you have any further questions, comments, typos, or anything else, please feel free to comment. If you want to receive JESUS for the first time today, pray this prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. In JESUS name, amen."

Peace be with you.
GOD bless U.

I'm just getting into the Bible, and have been looking up some stuff on BibleGateway.com. I've noticed that some of the passages in my Bible aren't coming up on that site. Am I just looking at the wrong version? It sounds like you know more about this stuff than I do, so if you can explain what I'm not seeing, that would be cool.

I think I can explain. It won't depend on the version of the Bible, because the Bible goes by passages.

When you looked up the Bible on this site, did you type in just a phrase, or was it the whole verse? What I mean is this:

Let's say I'm lookig up Romans 12:21. Do you just right down part of verse like "do not be overcome" or do you put in the whole "Romans 12:21" part?

I hope you understand waht I am saying... If you don't, then give me an example of exactly what you are trying to look up and then I can give you exact directions.

Well thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy reading the Bible. There is some sweet advetures in there. Comment again if you still need help or didn't understand.
    GOD bless U.

I guess a good example would be that I can't find anything from the book of Baruch. Maybe it isn't a very popular book and they just want to save space, or they spell it differently.

Baruch? What Bible are you reading? I think I can figure this out... you might be using a totally differntly Bible, but I'm not sure. Nehemiah, maybe? No. What Bible are you using?

I think it's a regular Bible. I'm pretty sure the priest has read passages from Baruch in church, but I can't find any of them online.

There's a guy in the Bible named Baruch, but he doesn't have a book. He is mentioned in Nehemiah and Jeremiah. Maybe you are just mixed up. What church do you go to?
    GOD bless U!

Catholic. In my Bible, there's a book of Baruch after Lamentations and before Ezekiel.
What church do you go to?

Oh! That explains it! Your using a Catholic Bible! When you click search, it should give you an option on what Bible you use. Try to find the Catholic one you are using. There's 5 other books in the Catholic Bible that aren't in others. Tell me if you have any other questions or it doesn't work.

Oh, I highly look in to the Catholic faith, but I am overall just a Christian.
    GOD bless U!
    Peace.

I'm going to explain an atheist's persepctive. I'll try to do this respectfully, but this is tricky, so please excuse any miscommunication.

I don't percieve God. I don't see God, or feel God, or notice anything that makes me think, "Oh, that's God!" I haven't noticed anything where God strikes me as the best explanation, or anything that seems to fit what I've heard about God. I have left myself open. I have read and studied on the subject. I have honestly asked, and I have found nothing. I am being absolutely honest here.

What I do see, and hear, is a lot of people claiming to find God or Gods. Some say to seek Krishna, some say Allah, and some say Jesus. All of them are evidently sincere, and all claim to see and feel and know. And they tell me that if I open my heart and pray, I'll find God, too. It doesn't work when I do it. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong, but I have never found the right way.

To borrow your wind analogy, it's like this. I don't feel the wind. I don't see branches rustling, or flags waving, and all of the chimney smoke looks to me like it's blowing straight up. What I see is a lot of people standing around and going, "Ooh, it's so windy over here! Come here and feel the wind!" I spent a fair amount of time running over to this spot and that, but every time I got there, there was no wind. The people would be standing in a different saying, "Of course you can't find the wind! You're doing it wrong!" Eventually, I got tired of always seeking, never finding, and decidied there probably was no wind. And then the people who claimed to have found it cursed me for refusing to chase after something I had no reason to believe existed.

I'm not trying to persuade you that I'm right, or that you're somehow wrong. There is one thing that I hope you understand about atheists, though. Most of us have looked at the evidence, and come to the conclusion that seems best to us, based on the evidence we've seen, and the experiences of our lives. There is a point in chasing after something, and failing to find it, where a person can reasonbly conclude there's probably nothing there. This isn't an absolute certainty (I believe there is no God as the most reasonable conclusion, not as absolute knowledge), but it's reasonable and practical to not give unlimited faith to claims when I never find the evidence.

I hope you find this useful to hear.

Don't worry about it; I'm not insulted at all. This is a very difficult topic (for me) to go over, so I'll try my best.

I guess I'll start with how it is to me. When I pray I always feel like my prayers are answered. It may take a long time or they may be answered imediatly. I just have to wait. It's like sending an email almost: You send it and then you wait for a response. I also feel that GOD has revealed Himself to me. This part is the must difficult to explain but if I look for I sighn, a eventually see one. I'm just always looking and I see how GOD effects the things around me. This may not be true for some people, because they might see everything as just luck or chance. I think it's because I look and listen for these things and I relize when they happen.

That is how it is for me. I don't think there is a wrong way to look for GOD.

I would like to hear more about what you think though. Do you mind if I ask a few questions?

    1. Have you ever tried praying to GOD and my GOD alone to give you a sighn or a miracle or something.

    2. Do you think that when you prayed to GOD (if you did) that you were testing Him? For example, a person might ask GOD to make a bird land in his hand just to test His authorities- That kind of thing.

    3. What kind of things did you study when you were looking for answers.

That's all. Thank you for your comments and freely expressing your opinion. I appreciate it.

Also, please forgive my missspelled words and jumpy grammar. I am a bit sloppy.

    GOD bless.
